Painted Veil, Boshudhara Mukherjee
3rd - 31st March, 2010

Painted Veil is the inaugural solo exhibition of works by artist Boshudhara Mukherjee. In her works the canvas is more than just a surface to paint on; it is the active participant in the process of creation and often dictates it. Boshudhara feels the need to free the canvas, to be able to manipulate and manoeuvre it. She allows it to occupy its own space by discarding its framework and letting it hang freely in space.

Unsharp Mask, Tara Kelton
25th January - 25th February 2010

Unsharp Mask is a digital filter which sharpens an image by layering it over a blurred, inverted copy of itself. Rather than modifying an image’s actual edges, it changes the context surrounding it, making it appear sharper. In her show of the same title, Unsharp Mask, Tara Kelton alters contexts, subverting perspective in order to challenge notions of objective reality.

Our Breath Concrete,
Qusai Kathawala
17th December 2009 - 20th January 2010

A coffee table over which you have a conversation with breath. A 3-dimensional LED grid, inside which you play a game with light, controlled by your breath. Science Fiction? Not quite. This is what one can expect to experience from the first solo show by the artist Qusai Kathawala.

Residencies

We will shortly be launching artist residencies and studios in an offsite location an hour's drive away from Mumbai. Set amidst 16 acres of lush greenery, this space includes space for 10 artists to live and work at the same time. Two large warehouses are available for artists who want to create large scale works.
